Opera
Marianna Stránská made her mark in the opera world, particularly alongside the director Arnaud Bernard, with whom for the first time she created the costumes for the production of Tosca (2017) for National Theatre in Prague, and she also participated in his productions of Sicilian Vespers (2017), The Girl from the West (2019) and Cavaleria Rustice (2020) for the St. Petersburg Mariinsky Theatre. They were supposed to realize Andrea Chenier (2022) but due to the war, the project was canceled. They have collaborated also on an opera piece Simon Boccanegra (2018) for the Lausanne Opera and Opera House in Bari. In the 2024 she was a head of the costume for the festival Opera Nova pro Národní divadlo. Especially for projects: Butterflies from Terezín by Charles Baumstark in the studio, for Orges by Šimon Voseček. And lastly, the costumes for the World premiere of the opera Kafka`s letter to his father, composed by Jiří Trtík and directed by Josef Doležal. Due to this project started a new creative collaboration with the director Josef Doležal.
